Perak Road Bak Kut Teh

When I read Penang Tua Pui blogged about Perak Road’s Bak Kut Teh, I know I’ve not been visiting this place for sometime. This is the norm place for both of us to have our dinner.

The other day, after our grocessory shopping, I told hubby let’s go back there again, without 2nd thought we drove all the way from Queensbay to this place. The place still looks the same to us, and it’s the same boss, but different workers.

We ordered a pot for 2, with pork belly, ribs, mushrooms, baby corn, meat balls, etc.

A plate of Yiu Char Kui to accomplish that, especially dip it in the hot soup. That’s the food heaven that’s what people call it!

Of course not to miss the chili padi and garlics isn't it??? Best to have dark soya sauce on it. Typing this, could really make me drool already..... [LOL]

And a plate of green, seriously the vegetables aren’t impressive at all. The oyster sauce gravy is too thick and it’s tasteless. Best is to have soya sauce on top of the vege and some fried garlics.
Both of us op for the ‘Yiu’ (direct translate as Oil) Rice. Most of their customers will op for this, I guess this is one of the best then?

Just feel so good after so long didn’t have this Bak Kut Teh… Especially on a rainy day!

It's always nice to have BKT during this raining season. That's remind me, I have to go and get the herbs and make some BKT. I get to choose what I want to put - more or less....... I don't like the veg they serve one. Like you say, thick oyster sauce and it make it so gili. Some soya sauce with garlic is good enough. Or maybe some pork floss.
Hi Simple Girl, but then this doesn't really look like Yam Rice, I don't see Yam in it.

Hi Jason, oh yes, no doubt about it.

Hi Selba, yes indeed!!

Hi Steven, opposite Chung Ling High School in Ayer Itam??

Hi Erina, I've never try to make my own BKT. Think I should try once.

I think most visitors to this blog will appreciate it if you would kindly identify the shop / stall and also a brief description of the location / address. It would be a great help to those hungry souls who do not want to waste time huntng for the stall / shop. Helps outstation visitors too.
Thanks.
