Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐, The Garden

After a long drive from Penang to KL for a short break, our stomach is completely growling for food. After check in to the hotel, we just walked over to The Garden and started to hunt for food.

Before I went over, I actually asked for advices from all the food bloggers for recommendation. And on second thought, I have not been wandering around in The Garden, so, decided to hunt for food down there as well.

By the time we had our lunch it’s already 7minutes to 4, thus, we just wacked whatever is available on the table. Hubby quickly ordered their famous soup dumplings (小籠包), and other finger food in case we got to wait for our food to be served.

When we just sat down, they gave a plate of appetizer. Don’t know what it is, but it’s sourish and appetizing too.

Glancing thru the menu, when you do not know what to have, to play safe is to have something you had tried it before. Thus, I’ve ordered myself a noodles mixed in broad bean (酢醬麵).

Hubby is always adventurous as he is; he had a spicy shrimp wanton noodle ( 紅油抄手(蝦肉)麵), which he finds it appetizing and delicious.

My brother-in-law was having a Strip Pork with Fried Rice (肉絲蛋炒飯), though is simple but according to him, it’s fragrant.

By right with so much finger food we should be able to have bit and pieces and that will be quite filling. Well, we gluttons and greedy, and urged my sis to have another bowl of shrimp wanton noodle (蝦仁餛飩麵).

And you will get to see what we were having for the dinner at night in my next post.

With so much noodles that we have ordered, and due to our stomach growling for food, we ordered other stuff like Shrimp Siew Mai (蝦仁燒賣), Taiwanese Springroll, Steamed Pork Bun (鮮肉大包) and of course something green (菠菜) too.

The spicy shrimp wanton noodle looks delicious! Is the Siu Long Pau comparable to the one by Dragon-i?

I've tested DTF in Singapore but not the one at the Gardens. It is always full house when I went. Maybe I am bad luck ..... -.-"

Their soup dumpling and prawn siew mai without a doubt is their best!

DTF second shop will be open at 1 Utama. Currently under renovation.
