When two persons have differences in terms of food hunting, who will normally give in? [grin] Well, for my case, hubby gave in to me cuz, my reason to him was I need to update my blog. With that, seriously he can’t argue much.
Not sure what happened to me today, I was just yearning for some frogs. Oh yes, before you could wonder and start to ask, no am not one of those which you’re thinking! [grin]
Probably I have been reading Heavenly Allie’s post on the frog porridge, thus I have the urge to try.
The last we went, they were not many dishes to offer, but this time, I was very happy to see they have a few ways of cooking the frogs, of course the usual one is spring onions and ginger and followed by kung poh which is dried chillies and dark soya sauce.
But this time, I see steam frogs with wolfberries, chilli padi and ginger, or with chicken essence, and even deep fried with belachan.
On top of that, they have other dishes like sweet and sour pork, roasted pork with dark soya sauce and other vegetables.
I was supposed to have a claypot of frog porridge, but with the food that we’ve ordered, I changed my mind instantly and have steam rice instead. Why? Reason is because the food that we’ve ordered was extremely drooling!!
Ok, let’s see what we have taken….
A steam frog with wolfberries, ginger and chilli padi.
A Yun Nan tofu, home made tofu and deep fried.
And, hubby’s favourite Roasted Pork Stir Fried with Dark Soya Sauce and Dry Chilli and Shallots.
Normally they will recommend one frog per person, a frog is costs about RM9, two is about RM17. Kung Po Frog is served in a claypot, and the porridge is the same too.
This place is emphasizes on 100% pure ingredients, and no MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) added.
