Gonbei 權兵衛 Fine Japanese Cuisine

Christmas has just passed, so, how do you all spend it? I had a good one in fact, yes, again it’s in KL. Well, this is more of a remembrance of what we had spent last year, especially with the Mama Mia’s musical stage was on the hit last year. 1st stop was lunch in Starhill Gallery on Christmas Eve… a sumptuous lunch with Abalone Sashimi as appetizer which is on the house some more. That gives all of us a indulge feeling. Not to forget that 2nd plate of Abalone Sashimi is only costs RM38 per piece, all Abalones are imported from Chile. Next, followed by a variety of sashimi, with the range of White Tuna, Red Tuna and Salmons. Look at the size of these assorted sashimi… I would have to comment that I doubt I could find such generous sashimi in Penang. Grilled items like Mackerel, Salmons, and Unagi (Eel). It’s juicy and tender. Fried items like Tempura, we have Prawns and Soft Shell Crabs. The prawns are fresh and it’s big in sizes too, and that goes to the crabs as well. T

Blue Reef

What makes me happy when I take my family for dinner or lunch, they find the food is value for money and the food is absolutely delicious! I don’t need to review much about their food, in fact, they are pretty reputable in the area, with the word spread around, email exchange or speculations, in fact every night they were full, and you ought to make reservation to dine in here too. One of the long weekend I took my family to all the way to Tanjong Bungah for dinner, and this place is not any stranger to anyone that stays around the area. Yes, am talking about Blue Reef. What’s their signature? Basically Fish & Chips (RM16.00), and look at the serving, it’s basically an Aussie’s size. If you’re small eater, best to share with another person. Cuz, honestly the generosity in giving the food is honestly grateful. What they have is either beer battered or bread crumbed. In fact, I like the bread crump version, probably due to the crunchiness. When I first took this Fish & Chips,

Fun Tea Garden

It was indeed an honor invitation from Criz to celebrate his 2nd blogniversary on 18 December 2009, a fun gathering, lucky draw for invited guests, and also variety of food tasting too. It’s basically variety of dim sum and also noodle tasting. Variety down from steam items like siu mai, har kau, and many other more. Apart from steam items, we were also served the pan fried, baked or deep fried items like, prawn fritters, and egg tarts, spring rolls, many others more. How could we miss out Chinese bun as in Bao in Dim Sum, right? We were served the normal Char Siu Bao (Barbeque Pork Bun), Pork Bun, and Fermented Pork Bun ( 南乳包 ). As mentioned noodle tasting is also part of the anniversary celebration, thus a couple of fried noodle were served… and the clicking sound from the cameras could be heard from one to another. First was served the Penang so called ‘Hokkien Char’. It was tasty and delicious, with their specially made sambal chili, it’s a heavenly match. Followed by
