Yup!! That’s right!
Xian Ding Wei is the new outlet right now that occupying the former Swenson’s unit in Queensbay Mall. It offers all Taiwanese local food like 3-cup chicken, Oyster & Large Intestines Vermicelli, Beef Noodle, etc. You don’t need a passport to travel all the way to Taiwan to savor the authentic Taiwan food, but instead with what Xian Ding Wei offers, that could definitely satisfy your gluttonous instinct.
What’s make known to many people about Taiwan is 3 cup chicken (三杯雞), well at least for me it does. 3 cups is actually the sauce that use for cooking this dish, for example soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and added basil leaf, that’s why it named after it.
Variety of meal sets for customers to choose from. They even offer mini Monk Jump Over Wall (迷你佛跳牆), mini steamboat, and so on.
I’ve been there twice, and still find the food there interesting. But I would have to alert all that it’s rather pricey.

By the time we had our lunch it’s already 7minutes to 4, thus, we just wacked whatever is available on the table. Hubby quickly ordered their famous soup dumplings (小籠包), and other finger food in case we got to wait for our food to be served.
When we just sat down, they gave a plate of appetizer. Don’t know what it is, but it’s sourish and appetizing too.
Glancing thru the menu, when you do not know what to have, to play safe is to have something you had tried it before. Thus, I’ve ordered myself a noodles mixed in broad bean (酢醬麵).
Hubby is always adventurous as he is; he had a spicy shrimp wanton noodle ( 紅油抄手(蝦肉)麵), which he finds it appetizing and delicious.
My brother-in-law was having a Strip Pork with Fried Rice (肉絲蛋炒飯), though is simple but according to him, it’s fragrant.
By right with so much finger food we should be able to have bit and pieces and that will be quite filling. Well, we gluttons and greedy, and urged my sis to have another bowl of shrimp wanton noodle (蝦仁餛飩麵).

With so much noodles that we have ordered, and due to our stomach growling for food, we ordered other stuff like Shrimp Siew Mai (蝦仁燒賣), Taiwanese Springroll, Steamed Pork Bun (鮮肉大包) and of course something green (菠菜) too.
“Beef Noodles – originated from Chinese Tang Dynasty and created by the tribe of Hwei can be traced back to a rich history exceeding centennial. In the year of 1949, it was originally introduced into Taiwan by the expelled Chinese soldiers in order to sooth the feeling of homesickness towards their far-off homeland the consumption of Beef Chunks signifies not merely the satiable filling of stomach but also carries the meaning of remembrance towards their love ones with a mixture of affection. For Taiwanese, Beef Noodles has proven to be a taste of perfection and magnificent flavour and is namely inseparable in the mainstream of Taiwan food culture. Thus, it considered beyond the significant of “Street Snack” simplicity. Throughout the years, the scrumptious culinary & tastefulness of beef noodles has managed to penetrate to the heart of Taiwanese but also aiming to trigger the taste bud of peoples from all over the world.”
The above short and brief history illustrated by Taiwan Bull that located in Lower Ground of Queensbay Mall in Bayan Lepas. In fact, I have not been there, but hubby went there once and thought of taking me there and let me try out their stone rice.
When I see this Stone Rice, it reminds me of Korean drama “
Ok, apart from that, taste wise, so so… like I said, perhaps am not any big fan of Taiwan food, thus, I don’t know how to appreciate it. But, this is something that I think I should give it a try, right?
Hubby ordered the ordinary noodle, “Tan Tan Noodle”. Comparatively, I prefer 600cc way of making this noodle.
