Mother's Day Dinner - Chicago Rib House

When comes to May, you could see many commercial ads around... free a stalk of carnation if you dine with your mother... free a glass of fruit punch if you dine now and when... and all kinds of promotions to promote Mother's Day.

When I make the reservation for tonight's dinner, I never know there's a stalk of carnation given to all the mothers tonight and tomorrow, and free a glass of fruity punch.

There were 8 of us having dinner with our mother at Chicago Rib House in Auto City, where we came here sometime last year. This time, I can see more crowd own here, and the service is attentive too.

The last time we came, we had the original ribs, but this time, my BIL ordered BBQ spare ribs with other side orders. And it seems this turns out to be pretty good.
My sis had Fish and Chips. One of the reason is it’s not that filling, second reason the young little one can have our share of portion. But, by looking at the serving, that’s big, isn’t it?

Parents still go for their favourite, the Original Ribs, and they have got themselves a bowl of wild mushroom soups for appetizer.

As for my brother and his fiancé, they both were sharing a plate of deep fried shrimps with coleslaw and broccoli as side dishes. Well, reason is simple, as they are about to get married, thus, they both need to on diet. :-D

Another sis of mine was adventurous enough to try on this new dish, it's pan fried Dory Fish, and it's a bit of spicy. She likes it very much... it was something special she says.

The first item that attracted me was the ribs. Are they better and tastier than those from the island...those from Ribs Restaurant?

The ribs looks great. We went all the way there on new year's eve and the shop was totally empty...that's why we thought it wasn't good coz usually during such days...most restaurants are usually full.

Hi j2kfm, it wasn't that expensive compare to the one in Penang.

Hi cklam, errr... I think I would still prefer the Ribs BBQ Restaurant in Penang.
