This was actually taken some time 6 months ago after my short trip to a private island. Then, I actually dropped by in Ipoh for a night to visit relative. We had breakfast in one of the busier coffee shop in that residential area. If am not mistaken, this coffee shop named Kedai Makanan & Minuman Taman Timur (its a corner shop). They have lots of stalls in the shop, selling Hakka noodles, nasi lemak, western breakfast, Penang Hokkien mee, wanton mee, and so on.What we had for breakfast for that morning compared to what we had in the private island is nothing to shout about. Certainly the taste of coffee shop is relatively better than what we had in the private island.

I had a simple dry noodle and some Yong Tau Foo for breakfast. I am not really a Yong Tau Foo fan, but, compared to Penang, I guess down here is much better.
Hubby just missed his Wanton Mee for many days, and here it is his Wanton Mee & Wanton. As for the Wanton Mee, hubby still finds Penang Wanton Mee is better than Ipoh.

As for my relative, they both took nasi lemak. Look at the sotong, and the anchovies.
Oh ya, one of the drink that you shouldn't miss, is their soya bean drink. It's good, very favorable, and it’s home made too.

Well, let’s move on with the food… it’s always delighted to see the buffet line with these food lining up for gluttons like us. You could see these fresh oysters, prawns, scallops, muscles, salmons, tuna, all assorted sashimi are so fresh and tempting to have them all.

Then, the salads line it out in a colourful way, with all sorts of salads’ cream.
As for the desserts line, do I need to say more?? For those have sweet tooth, no one could resists with these desserts. Oh ya, you should try their apple crumbles, it was delicious, and not to miss it!!
They also have a place where they do some kind of ‘tepanyaki’ way of seafood! The chefs will pan fried those marinated fishes, or lobsters. As for the beef and muttons, they will grill in front of their guests. You could see people lining up there for food without fail.

Apart from the indoor where you could choose to sit outside where you can feel the sea breeze. This is the place to dine if you’ve a group of friends that love to eat and enjoy. Don’t miss it!
Today is my first time take an initiative to take a picture of this dish. Mom cooks this
I know you’ll be surprise CNY has way passed already, why am I still showing this 七彩魚生. Well actually this is my MIL’s birthday lunch and her birthday is some days fall on CNY. So, all of us were actually taking this day to have a family gathering in
When comes to birthday, you can’t run away from having a plate of birthday noodle (長壽麵). CRC’s noodle is one of their signature dish. Many elderly will advise not to cut the noodle that serves to anyone. I was told some ‘pantang-larang’ that the elderly would not like it.
After the noodle, all the dishes are one by one serves… First come with the Assam Prawns.
Followed by the Assorted Mushrooms with Broccolis.
Honey Ginger Chicken.
And the Steam Tofu with Minced Meat & Salted Fish.
Last but not least, a dessert. Dried Longan with White Fungus (龍眼白果雪耳糖水).
Hmmm, I wonder when will I be visiting CRC again?? Their food is just marvellous.

Of course, the signature butter milky cheese crabs (奶油蟹) would not run away from us.
And the pig intestine (豬腸) stir fry with chili padi and small tiny shrimp (
A plate of Fried Egg (芙蓉蛋) is beyond my request, that’s my brother’s favorite, wherever he goes, he’ll sure order this dish.
And, of course, a place of vegetable. And that’s good for digestions and full of fibre.
The dinner was something that really enjoying for the night, and all of us were having good time licking the butter milky cheese crabs, that was something really marvelous, no words could describe that. LOL…
